殺 GROUND OPERATION OPTIONS UNDER REVIEW: U.S. military officials are planning two potential ground operations in Iran, one targeting Kharg Island and another aimed at seizing enriched uranium. President Trump has not made a decision on either option.
Sources told The Atlantic: “Neither of the two operations would guarantee an end to the war in weeks, nor the collapse of the Islamic Republic or the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz”.
Washington Post, citing sources: “The U.S. military presented Trump with a plan to seize highly enriched uranium in Iran. The plan includes transporting drilling equipment and constructing a cargo airstrip to move the radioactive material. The plan was presented to Trump last week, and the significant risks were discussed. Providing options to the President is the Pentagon’s duty, but this does not mean any decision has been made regarding the uranium.”
Amir Hatami, Commander-in-chief of the Iranian Army: “No enemy should survive if they attempt to carry out a ground operation”.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqhchi on a possible U.S. ground operation against Iran: “I do not think they would dare to do such a thing. Very heavy casualties would await them. You have seen the damage inflicted on them and what happened to their AWACS? In ground warfare, we are even better than this. We are fully prepared to confront any ground threat to our country”.
IRGC GROUND FORCES COMMANDER ELIMINATED: Brigadier General Mohammad-Ali Fathalizadeh, commander of the IRGC Ground Forces’ Fattahin commando unit, was killed in an Israeli airstrike.
CEASEFIRE CONTACTS REMAIN UNCLEAR: Discussions are taking place over a possible ceasefire in exchange for reopening the Strait of Hormuz, but officials said it remains unclear whether a deal can be reached. Vice President JD Vance has been communicating with Pakistani intermediaries, signaling that Trump is open to a ceasefire if U.S. demands are met.
Vice President JD Vance also warned Iran that failure to agree could bring increased pressure on its infrastructure. Reuters reported that Vance conveyed a “stern” message that President Trump’s patience is running out.
Iranian Foreign Ministry: “Trump’s claims that we requested a ceasefire are false”.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqhchi: “At present there is no ground for negotiation. Trust is at zero. There is no trust that negotiation with the US can lead to results”.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqhchi: “We do not accept a ceasefire. We are seeking an end to the war. We seek guarantees that such aggressions will not be repeated. We seek the payment of compensation for the extent of the damages inflicted on us and on the people of Iran”.
U.S. intelligence says Iran is not ready for serious negotiations, believing it holds the upper hand and distrusting Trump’s diplomacy.
