IRANIAN CLUSTER WARHEAD STRIKE ON CENTRAL ISRAEL: Rescue forces are responding to reports of impacts in central Israel following Iran’s latest ballistic missile attack.
According to rescue services, the missile carried a cluster bomb warhead, and damage was caused by cluster submunitions in Ramat Gan, Givatayim, Bnei Brak, and Petah Tikva.
❌ ELIMINATION OF IRGC INTELLIGENCE LEADERSHIP: The IDF eliminated Major General Majid Khademi, Chief of Intelligence of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, in an airstrike in Tehran.
The military also confirmed the elimination of Yazdan Mir, known as Sardar Bagheri, who headed the Quds Force’s clandestine Unit 840. Unit 840 has been implicated in kidnappings and assassinations of figures outside Iran, including against Israelis.
Khademi had entered the role several months ago after the elimination of his predecessor, Mohammad Kazemi, during the June 2025 war.
Prime Minister Netanyahu stated: “We have eliminated another central arm of Iran’s terror system by assassinating the head of intelligence in the IRGC. We also killed the commander of Unit 840 of the Quds Force, responsible for attacks against Israelis worldwide.”
Defense Minister Israel Katz said he was updated on the strike during an assessment with IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir and stated: “Iran’s leaders live with a sense of persecution. We will continue to hunt them down one by one,” Katz says.
STRIKES ON QUDS FORCE AIR INFRASTRUCTURE IN TEHRAN: The Israeli Air Force struck three airports in the Tehran area overnight.
According to the military, the strikes hit runways, control towers, and a Quds Force factory that manufactured drones.
CEASEFIRE PROPOSALS AND DIPLOMATIC CHANNELS: Regional mediators have informed Iran that US President Trump is eager to reach a ceasefire despite his threats, and that the US may give up on some of its demands.
Iranian mediators believe the US might use a 45-day period to prepare for further attacks, according to The Wall Street Journal.
Reuters reported that the U.S. and Iran received a two-stage agreement plan that includes an immediate ceasefire, the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, and a final agreement within 15 to 20 days.
The final proposal includes Iran’s renunciation of nuclear weapons, the lifting of sanctions, and the release of its assets.
IRAN REJECTS TERMS AND SIGNALS CONTINUED CONFRONTATION: Iran has rejected proposals, including an offer to reopen the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for a ceasefire, and has declined to meet with U.S. officials, according to The Wall Street Journal.
An Iranian official told Reuters: “Tehran has received Pakistan’s proposal and is reviewing it; it will not accept deadlines or any pressure. Tehran will not reopen the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for a temporary ceasefire”.
The IRGC Navy stated: “Strait of Hormuz will never return to normal, especially for the U.S. and Israel. The IRGC Navy is preparing operations for a new order in the Persian Gulf”.
⚠️ MEDIATION EFFORTS AND POSSIBLE NEXT STRIKES: Mediators are racing against time to urge Iran to negotiate with the US, but to no avail, according to The Wall Street Journal.
An Israeli official told The Wall Street Journal: “We are awaiting a mandate from Washington this week to begin strikes on Iranian energy facilities”.
️ IRANIAN RESPONSE TO THE ISFAHAN OPERATION: Iran’s Foreign Ministry stated that the possibility the Isfahan operation was a deception aimed at stealing uranium cannot be ruled out, but said it failed.
The ministry added: “The Isfahan operation was a scandal and a disaster for the US, and we hope they have learned a lesson from it”.
