❗️ THREATS TO INFRASTRUCTURE AND OIL: Trump said: “If it were up to me, I would take Iranian oil.”
He added: “I want to get Iranian oil because I’m a businessman”.
A reporter asked: “How would it not be a war crime to strike Iran’s bridges and power plants?”
President Trump replied: “Because they killed 45,000–60,000 people. They kill protesters, they are animals”.
🔹 U.S. CRITICISM OF NATO AND ALLIES
Trump said: “I am very disappointed with NATO member states that said they would help us after we win. NATO’s stance is a disgrace that will haunt them and will never be erased from my memory as long as I live.”
He added: “The US rebuilt Germany after World War II, and now it tells us this is not its war”.
Trump also said: “NATO is just paper without us and refused to help us, just as South Korea, Japan, and Australia did.”
He added: “South Korea didn’t help us. Australia didn’t help us. Japan didn’t help us. We’ve got 50,000 soldiers in Japan, 45,000 in South Korea, to protect them from Kim Jong Un, whom I get along very well with”.
❌ INTERNAL IRAN PRESSURE AND REGIME CHANGE RHETORIC
Trump said: “The Iranian people are pleading with us not to stop the bombing. We have received messages from Iranians asking us to continue the strikes because they want freedom and the fall of the regime. Iranians will be willing to endure the suffering caused by the bombing of power facilities in order to get rid of the regime.”
He also said: “When the Iranian people don’t hear bombs, they get upset; they want to hear bombs”.
Trump added: “The Iranian people feel uneasy when they don’t hear bombs, and the reason they are not protesting is because they are told they will be shot. If the Iranian people take to the streets, they will be fired upon immediately—and they would fight if they received weapons.”
He said: “The Iranian people should rise up against the regime”.
Trump added: “The Iranian people will fight back as soon as they get weapons. If they had weapons, Iran would give up in two seconds”.
He also said: “We sent some guns; they were supposed to go to the people of Iran. You know what happened? The people we sent them through kept them. I am very upset with a certain group of people, and they will pay a big price for that”.
Trump said: “I think Kurdish forces should stay away. I think they bring some problems with them. They bring death to themselves”.
He also said: “I used harsh language on Truth Social to get my message across, and it was delivered. Unfortunately, the American people want us to return home. Weapons were supposed to be delivered to protesters in Iran, but a certain group kept them. The Iranians refuse to surrender, and I won’t go further than that—there are things worse than destroying power stations and bridges.”
When asked, “What do you say to Americans who are not a fan of the war?” Trump replied: “They are foolish”.
