IDF TARGETS IRANIAN TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE: The IDF struck eight bridge segments used by the Iranian regime’s Armed Forces to transport weapons and military equipment in several areas across Iran, including Tehran, Karaj, Tabriz, Kashan, and Qom.
According to the IDF, these crossings were used to move military assets and support attacks against the State of Israel and other countries in the Middle East.
The strikes were carried out to prevent further use of these routes, with steps taken beforehand to reduce harm to civilians, including precise munitions and aerial surveillance.
The IDF said it will continue operating against targets used by the Iranian regime’s Armed Forces for military purposes and for advancing terrorist activity against the State of Israel and other countries worldwide.
Prime Minister Netanyahu said: “Today, we attacked the railways and bridges used by the IRGC”.
⚠️ IRAN SIGNALS ESCALATION RISKS AND CONDITIONAL FLEXIBILITY: A senior Iranian source told Reuters: “Iran will not open the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for empty promises”.
The same source added: “If the situation gets out of control, Iran’s allies will also close the Bab al-Mandab waterway”.
Reuters, citing an Iranian source, reported: “We will show flexibility when we see flexibility from the American side.”
A senior Iranian source also told Reuters: “If the U.S. attacks Iran’s power plants, the entire region and Saudi Arabia will fall into complete darkness”.
‼️ U.S.-ISRAEL STRATEGIC CONTEXT: The New York Times, citing U.S. and Israeli officials, reported: “We are intensifying our attacks to force Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and agree to a ceasefire.”
ℹ️ RESCUE OPERATION IN IRAN
CIA Director John Ratcliffe said: “The search and rescue operation in Iran was flawless. We deployed both human assets and exquisite technologies that no other intelligence service in the world possesses. The Iranians were embarrassed and ultimately humiliated by the success of this rescue mission”.
Trump said: “The mission to locate and rescue the two U.S. soldiers in Iran was one of the most complex and dangerous operations. During the rescue of one soldier, participants faced close-range gunfire. We deployed forces at seven different locations to mislead Iranian forces during the operation. The second soldier was evacuated from enemy territory by two H-860 Jolly Green helicopters. A total of 155 aircraft participated in rescuing the second soldier, including 4 bombers, 64 fighters, and 48 refueling planes.”
On the same operation, Trump said: “Iran didn’t know somebody was missing until a leaker gave the information. We are going to go to the media company that published it and we are going to say: ‘national security, give it up or go to jail!’ You know who we are talking about”.
He added: “Iran was strong a month ago, but it is no longer so. We kept the rescue operation of the second soldier secret for nearly a day, which made the situation much better. I don’t think there is a more hostile place than Iran—they have tough fighters and hard people. We will soon find out how strong Iran really is, and it is not as strong as before. The condition of the two rescued pilots from Iran is very good. Tuesday is the deadline for Iran.”
Trump also said: “We preferred to blow up the two cargo planes that got stuck in the sand so that the Iranians wouldn’t get our equipment”.
