POLITICAL CABINET TO CONVENE: The Israeli Political Security Cabinet will meet on Sunday afternoon.
⚔️ NORTHERN SECURITY ZONE AND MILITARY RESULTS: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel established a continuous security zone along the entire northern border.
He stated this removes the immediate threat of terrorist infiltration and anti-tank fire on Israeli communities.
Netanyahu said two primary threats from Lebanon were addressed: infiltration attempts and large-scale missile attacks.
He added that approximately 90% of Hezbollah’s missile and rocket stockpiles were destroyed.
He stated that Hassan Nasrallah was eliminated and thousands of terrorists were killed.
According to Netanyahu, Hezbollah is now “a shadow of itself” compared to its previous capabilities.
Netanyahu said Israel has not yet completed its objectives in the north.
He noted further actions are planned against remaining rocket and drone threats, without elaborating.
He added that dismantling Hezbollah remains a long-term objective.
He emphasized this will require sustained effort, patience, and continued diplomatic management.
Netanyahu said Israel agreed to a temporary ceasefire in Lebanon at the request of President Trump.
He stated the pause is intended to allow progress toward a combined political and military solution with the Lebanese government.
He noted that for the first time in 43 years, Israeli and Lebanese representatives are holding direct talks.
Netanyahu said the path to peace is long but has begun.
⚠️ UNIFIL PATROL COMES UNDER FIRE IN SOUTHERN LEBANON: A UNIFIL patrol clearing explosive ordnance along a road in the village of Ghanduriyah came under small-arms fire. One peacekeeper was killed and three others were wounded, including two seriously.
UNIFIL said an initial assessment indicates the fire came from non-state actors, allegedly Hezbollah. French President Emmanuel Macron said the attack killed a French soldier and was apparently carried out by Hezbollah.
Hezbollah denied involvement. In a statement, the terror group said it “calls for caution in issuing judgments and responsibilities regarding the incident,” and “expresses surprise at the [parties] that rushed to throw accusations arbitrarily.”
️ IDF RESERVIST KILLED BY EXPLOSIVE DEVICE IN SOUTHERN LEBANON: An IDF reservist was killed and three other soldiers were wounded after an explosive device detonated in the village of Jebbayn, after the ceasefire with Hezbollah took effect on Friday.
The slain soldier was identified as Warrant Officer (res.) Barak Kalfon, 48, of the 7056th Battalion in the 226th Reserve Paratroopers Brigade, from Adi. The reservists had been scanning a building for weapons when the device exploded.
According to an initial IDF probe, the bomb was not remotely detonated. The wounded soldiers, including two listed in moderate condition and one lightly wounded, were airlifted to a hospital in northern Israel and their families were notified.

❌ TERRORIST ELIMINATED AFTER INFILTRATING NEGOHOT: A terrorist armed with a knife was identified and eliminated inside the community of Negohot in Judea and Samaria. No injuries were reported.
Following the incident, IDF soldiers conducted searches in the area and later carried out a targeted operation at the terrorist’s residence in the Khirbet Fuqeiqah area, adjacent to Negohot. The operation was directed by the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet).
Forces located an improvised weapon and military equipment at the residence. The military said the terrorist had planned to use them for attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians.
