Hormuz blockade raised in Trump-Pakistan call: A Pakistani security source told Reuters that Pakistan’s army chief Asim Munir spoke with President Trump and said the U.S. blockade of the Strait of Hormuz is an obstacle to negotiations with Iran.
Munir told Trump the blockade was a hurdle to peace talks, and Trump said he would consider the concern and review the matter.
Reuters reported: “Army Chief Asim Munir told Trump that the blockade of Hormuz poses an obstacle to the talks, and Trump promised to look into the matter.”
Iran signals it may stay away from next round of talks: Officials from the Islamic Republic said that if the U.S. continues the naval blockade of southern Iranian ports, they will not attend the second round of talks in Islamabad.
A senior Iranian source told Reuters: “Disputes over the nuclear program remain unresolved and the gaps have not narrowed. The continued U.S. blockade of the Strait of Hormuz is undermining Iranian-American peace talks.”
President Trump said talks are scheduled to resume tomorrow, while the Islamic Republic has stated it will not send a delegation.
Despite that public position, a senior official confirmed that a six-point outline remains under discussion between the United States and Iran.
Maritime traffic through Hormuz drops sharply: The Financial Times reported that only two ships passed through the Strait of Hormuz in the past 24 hours.
‼️ U.S. strategic communications activity increases: Around 100 encrypted Emergency Action Messages were transmitted in the past 24 hours across the U.S. military’s global high-frequency network.
These coded messages are used to communicate with nuclear submarines, strategic bombers, and missile crews during serious situations.
The E-6B “Doomsday Plane” is also reported to be operating over the Atlantic, broadcasting signals every 30 minutes.
❌ Iran-linked plots targeting Israelis abroad confirmed: Foreign Minister Sa’ar confirmed that Iran tried twice to harm Israelis in the United Arab Emirates during Operation “Lion’s Roar” – once using an explosive UAV and once through another cell.
Since the beginning of the war around two years ago, about 30 attacks and attempted attacks have been identified against Israeli embassies and diplomats around the world.
U.S. suspends support to Iraqi security institutions: According to Al Hadath, the United States has halted funding for Iraqi security institutions and suspended dollar shipments until a new Iraqi government is formed.
Washington has also suspended security coordination until the new government is in place and those responsible for attacks on American sites in Iraq are identified.
