️ US INTELLIGENCE: IRAN MILITARY CAPABILITIES REMAIN SIGNIFICANT: US officials told CBS that Iran retains more military capability than publicly acknowledged by the White House or Pentagon.
According to the assessment, roughly half of Iran’s ballistic missile stockpile and launch systems remained intact at the start of the early April ceasefire.
About 60% of the IRGC Navy also survived, including fast attack boats.
While Iran’s Air Force has been significantly degraded, it has not been eliminated, with approximately two-thirds still operational following US-Israeli strikes on thousands of targets.
Iran’s conventional navy is reported destroyed, while the IRGC’s smaller asymmetric naval forces remain partly intact. Although Iran’s air power has been significantly degraded, around two-thirds of its air force is still considered operational.
⛔ IRAN NOT PLANNING TO JOIN FRIDAY TALKS: Tasnim News Agency: Iran currently has no plan to negotiate on Friday. Iran’s plan not to participate in the talks has not changed.
STRAIT OF HORMUZ ALSO CARRIES CRITICAL INTERNET INFRASTRUCTURE: Tasnim News Agency reports that the Strait of Hormuz is not only vital for global oil and gas transport, but also serves as a central bottleneck for submarine internet cables connecting Gulf countries.
Several major cable systems pass through the strait as part of the global network carrying a significant share of international internet traffic.
LINDSEY GRAHAM SUPPORTS KEEPING BLOCKADE IN PLACE: Republican Senator Lindsey Graham: “I think the President’s decision to leave the blockade in place is very smart. It is having a strong effect on the ability of Iran to continue to be the largest state sponsor of terrorism — which they appear intent on doing. I not only expect this blockade to stay in place until Iran shows a commitment to change their ways, I expect the blockade will be growing and that it could become global soon. Well done to President Trump and his team.”
