️ Northern Israel drone alerts: Sirens sounded in northern Israel at 7:40 AM over a suspected hostile aircraft infiltration from Lebanon. The IDF later said contact was lost with the aerial target, and no injuries were reported.
Missile and rocket alerts were activated due to concerns over falling interception debris.
Additional drone sirens in the Western Galilee at 8:05 AM were later determined to be false alarms. The IDF said the suspected Hezbollah drone likely crashed after contact was lost, while a siren in Arab al-Aramshe was triggered by fears of falling fragments during interception attempts.
⚠️ Netanyahu testimony canceled: At the last moment, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s testimony was canceled. The stated justification was security concerns.
Four soldiers injured in southern Israel accident: Four IDF soldiers were injured after a Humvee overturned at a military base in southern Israel. The military described the incident as an operational accident.
One soldier was seriously wounded, one was moderately injured, and two were lightly hurt. All four were evacuated to a hospital for treatment, and their families were notified.
️ Poll shows right-wing bloc retaining majority: A Channel 14 poll conducted by Shlomo Filber after the political merger between Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid shows the right-wing bloc at 64 seats, down two seats but still enough to form a government.
The poll shows Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud as Israel’s largest party with 34 seats. The Bennett-Lapid party receives 20 seats, followed by the Joint List and Shas with 11 each, and Gadi Eisenkot’s party with 9.
Yisrael Beiteinu, the Democrats, and United Torah Judaism each receive 8 seats, Jewish Power receives 7, and Religious Zionism receives 4.
The bloc breakdown shows 64 seats for the right-wing bloc, 45 for the left-wing bloc, and 11 for the Arab parties.
