IRAN HORMUZ PROPOSAL AND U.S. RESPONSE: A new Iranian proposal reportedly offers lifting the blockade in the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for ending the war and postponing nuclear negotiations, according to the Wall Street Journal.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio rejected the concept, stating: “What they [Iran] mean by opening the Strait of Hormuz is that yes, the Strait is open, as long as you coordinate with Iran and get our permission or we’ll blow you up, and you pay us. That’s not opening the Strait. Those are international waterways, they cannot normalize nor can we tolerate a system in which Iran decides who gets to use an international waterway and how much you have to pay them to use it.”

IDF STRIKES HEZBOLLAH TARGETS IN LEBANON: The IDF struck more than 20 terror infrastructure sites in the Beqaa Valley and across southern Lebanon.
Targets included weapons storage facilities, rocket launch sites, and a Hezbollah weapons manufacturing and storage facility in the Beqaa Valley where recent reconstruction activity had been identified.
❌ HEZBOLLAH LOSSES: According to the IDF, more than 1,900 Hezbollah operatives have been killed in Lebanon since hostilities escalated in March amid the Iran war.
殺 IDF CHIEF OF STAFF: LONG-TERM MULTI-ARENA OPERATIONS: IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir told senior commanders that Israel remains engaged in ongoing combat across Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, and additional arenas.
He said forward defense positions have been established near Israeli communities and may be maintained for an extended period until sustained security conditions are achieved.
OPERATIONAL REVIEW AND STRATEGIC OUTLOOK: An operational briefing at Ramat David Airbase reviewed progress across Lebanon and recent activity against Iran.
Zamir stated that achievements, particularly in Iran, removed emerging existential threats and were conducted in coordination with the United States. He said these gains must now be translated into lasting strategic outcomes through ongoing negotiations regarding Iran, Lebanon, and Gaza.
FORCE READINESS AND SOCIETAL MOBILIZATION: Zamir emphasized that the IDF has been in sustained multi-front combat since October 7 and must remain prepared for continued operations into 2026.
He called for expanding military service participation and increasing combat manpower to meet growing operational demands.
DISCIPLINE, VALUES, AND FORCE STRUCTURE: Zamir warned against ethical violations, including looting and misuse of social media, stating that such actions will be investigated and disciplined.
He stressed that the IDF must remain free of political discourse. He also reaffirmed that women will continue serving as an integral part of the military, describing their inclusion as both a core value and an operational necessity.
