️ EXPANDED AIR AND SEA MILITARY SUPPLY LIFT: Within 24 hours, two cargo ships and multiple transport aircraft delivered approximately 6,500 tons of military equipment to Israel, including air and ground munitions, military trucks, JLTV combat vehicles, and additional operational gear.
The shipments arrived via the ports of Haifa and Ashdod as part of a large-scale global logistics operation led by the Defense Ministry’s U.S. procurement delegation, international transport units, and IDF planning bodies. Equipment was rapidly transferred onto hundreds of transport trucks and distributed to bases nationwide.
Defense Ministry Director-General Amir Baram oversaw the operation and said the procurement effort “will continue and intensify in the coming weeks.”
Since the start of the war with Iran on February 28, more than 115,600 tons of military equipment have arrived in Israel via 403 airlifts and 10 sea shipments. Defense Minister Israel Katz said the goal is “to ensure that the IDF receives all the necessary means so that it can return to operating at full strength against our enemies at any time and in any place required.”

DEFENSE MINISTRY PUSHES FOR MUNITIONS PRODUCTION INDEPENDENCE: Amir Baram convened senior officials and leaders of Israel’s major defense industries, including Israel Aerospace Industries, Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, Elbit Systems, and Tomer, to assess readiness and accelerate weapons procurement for potential war scenarios.
Industry leaders reported that production has reached record levels in recent months and is continuing at a 24/7 pace, driven by urgent operational demand.
Baram emphasized that Israel remains in a prolonged state of emergency and is working to strengthen immediate readiness while building long-term independence in munitions and critical components, in line with directives from Defense Minister Israel Katz. He also noted ongoing efforts to reduce outstanding debts to defense companies resulting from underfunding by the Finance Ministry.
During the meeting, Baram marked the leadership transition at Tomer, thanking outgoing CEO Mordechai Ben Ami for his role in accelerating production of Arrow interceptors, as incoming CEO Dotan Gabay assumes the position.
