⚠️ UPDATED DEFENSIVE GUIDELINES:
The changes take effect from Friday, May 1, 2026 at 13:00 until Monday, May 4, 2026 at 20:00, following an ongoing situational assessment by the Home Front Command.
️ PARTIAL ACTIVITY IN NORTHERN AREAS: The Confrontation Line area and the communities of Meron, Bar Yohai, Or HaGanuz, and Safsufa will transition to partial activity levels.
️ EDUCATION AND WORKPLACES: Educational activities and workplaces may operate only in locations where a standard protected space can be reached within the required protection time.
️ GATHERING LIMITS: Gatherings are permitted with up to 200 people in open areas and up to 600 people inside structures.
️ ONGOING ASSESSMENT: All other defensive guidelines remain unchanged. The Home Front Command will continue to update the public if further changes are required.

SHABBAT-APPROVED SILENT BROADCASTS: Radio and television stations switch to silent broadcast mode during Shabbat and activate only for emergency alerts and official instructions, including guidance such as whether to remain indoors. If a radio or TV is not available, these broadcasts can also be accessed through live streams on a phone or computer.
It is recommended to use both a silent radio or TV source together with an alert app or website.

All stations provide live online streams.
SILENT TV OPTION: Channel 14 (link above) provides silent emergency broadcasts with a live stream available and Android and iPhone apps. Ad blockers must be disabled for alerts to function properly. There is currently no officially designated silent English-language broadcast channel.
Israel Realtime does not post news updates during the holy Shabbat except in true emergencies where life-saving information must be shared. There will be no non-emergency posts from sundown Friday until nightfall Saturday.
