⚠️ END OF HOSTILITIES AND FORCE POSTURE ADJUSTMENTS: President Trump informed Congress that “The hostilities between the US and Iran that began on February 28,2026, have terminated”. The White House also reported ongoing adjustments to U.S. force posture in the CENTCOM area under the War Powers Resolution.
U.S. forces launched Operation “Epic Fury” on February 28, conducting precision strikes against the Iranian regime, described as necessary to protect U.S. citizens and national interests. A two-week ceasefire ordered on April 7 has since been extended, with no exchanges of fire reported since that date.

He added: “The leaders of Iran are in great confusion, and I’m not satisfied with the proposal we received from them. They need to submit a suitable proposal. The Iranians are demanding things that I cannot accept. Iranian leaders want to reach an agreement, but they are suffering from a total chaos due to internal disputes”.
An Iranian military official told AFP: “It is likely that fighting with the US will resume after Trump said last night that he is not satisfied with Iran’s proposal”.

REGIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL REACTIONS: A source in the Pakistani Prime Minister’s Office told Al Jazeera: “Islamabad has asked Trump to suspend making major military decisions at this stage”.
ECONOMIC PRESSURE AND STRAIT OF HORMUZ MEASURES: Reports indicate the U.S. naval blockade has cut off approximately $4.8 billion in Iranian oil revenue. U.S. warnings to shipping companies emphasized that payments to Iran for passage through the Strait of Hormuz, including indirect or disguised methods, could trigger sanctions.
The Iranian currency has reached an all-time low, trading at 1.84 million rials per U.S. dollar, reflecting increasing economic pressure on the regime.
‼️ NATO TENSIONS AND TROOP WITHDRAWAL FROM GERMANY: The Pentagon plans to withdraw 5,000 U.S. troops from Germany within 6–12 months, linked to President Trump’s dissatisfaction with NATO support during the conflict with Iran.

INTERNAL IRAN DEVELOPMENTS AND RESTRICTIONS: Iranian MP Amir-Hossein Sabeti stated that internet restrictions remain in place due to concerns that reopening access could enable protests. “If the internet is fully reopened, some mercenaries — who are also armed — may organize gatherings through these networks,” he said.
President Trump added: “I’m not satisfied that the Kurds didn’t deliver the weapons we sent to Iran during the protests”.
❗️ EXPLOSION KILLS IRGC MEMBERS: 14 IRGC members were killed and 2 injured in an explosion during the dismantling of remnants from U.S.-Israeli strikes in Zanjan Province. Senior IRGC commander Ali Mousavi-Havaei was among those killed, according to Iranian Tasnim News Agency.
