KEY TERMS UNDER DISCUSSION: Sources cited in the report say the parties are closer to an agreement than at any point since the war began. The terms include a gradual lifting of the U.S.-Iran naval blockade, phased sanctions relief, and the gradual release of hundreds of billions of dollars.
NUCLEAR FREEZE AND ENFORCEMENT: Negotiations remain ongoing over the duration of the uranium enrichment freeze. Three sources said the freeze would last at least 12 years, while one source estimated the final term could be 15 years.
VIOLATION CLAUSE AND URANIUM REMOVAL: The U.S. wants a clause stating that any Iranian violation on uranium enrichment would extend the freeze period. Two sources said Iran is expected to agree to remove its highly enriched uranium from the country.

IRANIAN POSITION ON NEGOTIATION SCOPE: Al-Mayadeen reports that Iran says the talks do not include the nuclear file and are focused on managing the Strait of Hormuz, lifting the naval blockade, frozen assets, and compensation.
CEASEFIRE CONDITIONS AND CONTROL CLAIMS: According to the pro-Hezbollah outlet, Iran insists that any ceasefire with the U.S. must include all fronts and says “the ball is now in Washington’s court.” Al-Mayadeen also reported that Tehran has not conceded and claims it continues to control the Strait of Hormuz.
