⚠️ CENTCOM ENFORCES BLOCKADE AGAINST IRANIAN TANKERS: U.S. Central Command released footage showing American forces disabling two Iranian-flagged oil tankers attempting to enter an Iranian port on the Gulf of Oman in violation of the ongoing U.S. blockade.
A U.S. Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet from USS George H.W. Bush disabled the unladen tankers M/T Sea Star III and M/T Sevda on May 8 by firing precision munitions into their smokestacks, preventing both vessels from reaching port.

⚔ A THIRD TANKER WAS DISABLED EARLIER THIS WEEK: CENTCOM also confirmed that Iranian-flagged M/T Hasna was disabled on May 6 while attempting to sail toward an Iranian port in the Gulf of Oman.
According to CENTCOM, an F/A-18 Super Hornet from USS Abraham Lincoln disabled the vessel’s rudder using several rounds from a 20mm cannon. All three vessels are no longer transiting toward Iran.
⚠️ CENTCOM SAYS BLOCKADE OPERATIONS REMAIN ACTIVE: Adm. Brad Cooper said U.S. forces in the Middle East remain committed to “full enforcement of the blockade of vessels entering or leaving Iran.”
CENTCOM added that multiple commercial vessels have been disabled and more than 50 ships have been redirected to ensure compliance with the blockade measures.
IRANIAN OUTLETS REPORT RENEWED CLASHES NEAR HORMUZ: Iranian media outlets, including Fars News, reported scattered clashes between Iranian and U.S. forces in the Strait of Hormuz over the past several hours.
Residents in Hormozgan Province reportedly heard several explosions near the port city of Bandar Abbas as Iranian outlets described renewed confrontations in the area.
MAJOR OIL SPILL REPORTED NEAR KHARG ISLAND TERMINAL: The Soar company identified an unusual oil spill near Iran’s Kharg Island terminal in the Persian Gulf, which handles more than 90% of Iran’s oil exports.
The cause of the spill remains unclear. Reports raised two possible explanations: Iran may be releasing oil due to limited storage capacity, or there may be a systems malfunction at the terminal. Multiple tankers were simultaneously observed loading oil at the site.
