Today, the IDF struck Hezbollah weapons storage facilities, loaded and ready-to-fire launchers, and additional terror infrastructure in several areas of southern Lebanon. Hezbollah operatives used the sites to advance attacks against IDF soldiers operating in southern Lebanon and against the State of Israel.
At the launch sites, the IDF targeted rocket launchers directed toward areas where IDF soldiers are operating and toward Israeli territory. The IDF also released footage of a strike on a Hezbollah launcher that was loaded and ready-to-fire.

❌ IDF soldiers continue operating south of the Forward Defense Line to dismantle Hezbollah terror infrastructure and remove threats to Israeli civilians. Since the beginning of the operation, more than 400 terrorists have been eliminated, including Hezbollah Radwan Force operatives, and more than 1,000 Hezbollah weapons have been located.
Soldiers from the Shahaf Unit identified and eliminated more than 120 terrorists through precise and rapid operations. The unit also dismantled dozens of terror infrastructure sites, including Hezbollah headquarters.
⚠️ Earlier, the Israeli Air Force intercepted a suspicious aerial target identified in the area where IDF soldiers are operating in southern Lebanon. No sirens were sounded, in accordance with protocol.
UNIFIL said several “presumed” Hezbollah drones targeted its Naqoura headquarters in recent days. According to the force, three drones exploded within meters of the headquarters on Monday, while additional drones detonated in and around the compound on Tuesday, causing damage to buildings but no injuries.
UNIFIL also reported that a drone which crashed at the Naqoura headquarters on Sunday was not armed, and that “preliminary findings indicate it is of Iranian manufacture,” meaning it was likely launched by Hezbollah. Separately, an armed fiber optic-guided drone crashed through the roof of a UN position near al-Hanniye on May 5 but did not explode.
️ Following an IDF situational assessment, Home Front Command defensive guidelines remain unchanged and will stay in effect until Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 20:00.
⚠️ Earlier today, IDF soldiers and Israel Border Police officers entered the area of Jiljilyya after reports that several Israeli civilians had entered the area following the theft of livestock from an illegal outpost located in Area A. Forces worked to prevent confrontations, recover the livestock, and escort all Israeli civilians out of the area.
Several suspects involved in the livestock theft were apprehended and transferred to the Judea and Samaria District Police. As forces departed the area, a violent riot developed involving stone-throwing. Soldiers responded with riot dispersal means and live fire toward the primary instigators. The IDF said it is aware of reports of several suspects injured and one suspect reportedly killed. The incident remains under review.
