⚔️ Hezbollah launched rockets, explosive drones, and mortar shells toward IDF soldiers operating in southern Lebanon in multiple incidents over the past 24 hours. The launches and explosive drones fell near IDF troops. No injuries were reported in those incidents.
Overnight, four IDF troops were wounded after an explosive device detonated in southern Lebanon. One soldier was severely injured, an officer was moderately injured, and an additional officer and soldier were lightly injured. The troops were evacuated to a hospital for medical treatment, and their families were notified.

️ A short while ago, the Israeli Air Force intercepted several rockets launched by the Hezbollah terrorist organization toward IDF soldiers operating in southern Lebanon. No sirens were activated, in accordance with protocol.
⚠️ Sirens warning of hostile aircraft infiltration sounded in several areas in northern Israel after a suspicious aerial target was identified. The incident concluded with no injuries reported.
️ The Israeli Air Force also intercepted multiple suspicious aerial targets identified in the area where IDF soldiers are operating in southern Lebanon. No sirens were sounded, in accordance with protocol.
Yesterday, the IDF eliminated Bahaa Baroud, a commander in Hamas’ Operations Headquarters. According to the IDF, Baroud worked throughout the war, and particularly in recent weeks, to plan and advance numerous terror attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians.
The IDF stated that Baroud posed an immediate threat to Israeli forces and was eliminated in a precise aerial strike. Prior to the strike, measures were taken to mitigate civilian harm, including the use of precise munitions and aerial surveillance.
️ Following a situational assessment, the Home Front Command announced that defensive guidelines remain unchanged and will stay in effect until Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 20:00.
️ Prime Minister Netanyahu said the government held a special meeting in Jerusalem at Beit Frumin, the site of Israel’s first Knesset, approving a series of development and heritage initiatives for the capital.
The government approved plans to strengthen and develop the Western Wall area, including infrastructure upgrades and continued archaeological excavations aimed at reinforcing the Jewish people’s historical connection to the site.
Israel will invest in the Shalva Center and establish a dedicated emergency assistance center for people with disabilities. Additional projects include restoring the ancient Mamilla Pool area into a public water park, advancing the Heritage Center in Atarot, and expanding artificial intelligence, national digital infrastructure, energy, environmental, and broader infrastructure projects in Jerusalem.
⚠️ Netanyahu on Iran and Regional Threats: “Our eyes are open. I will speak today with Trump and hear impressions from his visit to China, and perhaps other things as well. There are certainly many possibilities — we are prepared for any scenario.”
