⚠️ The Israeli Navy has begun intercepting an activist mission sailing toward the Gaza Strip to challenge Israel’s naval blockade.
Israel’s Foreign Ministry called on participants in the flotilla to “change course and turn back immediately.”
According to tracking data, the Global Sumud Flotilla, which includes around 57 vessels, is currently west of Cyprus after departing from Turkey’s Mediterranean coast on Thursday.
Israel has previously dismissed such flotillas as publicity stunts after organizers rejected offers to transfer symbolic aid shipments through Israel or international organizations for official distribution inside Gaza.
Overnight, the IDF struck in the Baalbek area and eliminated Wael Mahmoud Abd al-Halim, the Islamic Jihad Commander of the Beqaa region in Lebanon.
Al-Halim led the integration of Islamic Jihad terrorists into combat operations alongside Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon and worked to advance attacks against IDF soldiers in recent weeks.
❗️ Sirens sounded in the areas of Metula and Qiryat Shemona after launches toward IDF soldiers operating in southern Lebanon were identified.
Some projectiles crossed into Israeli territory and were intercepted, while others fell in open areas according to policy. No injuries were reported.
A Hezbollah explosive drone also fell in Israeli territory near the Israel-Lebanon border.
Shrapnel fragments were identified in the community of Shomera.
The IDF Home Front Command has released an update to its mobile application aimed at improving alert clarity and user experience during attacks.
The update introduces different icons, colors, and sounds for each type of alert to allow faster identification of threats and required actions.
A yellow alert provides early warning of a potential threat, while
A red alert instructs civilians to seek shelter.
A green “all-clear” notification is sent once an incident has concluded.
The updated application also displays alerts in chronological order on a central screen and improves lock-screen notifications.
The system now more clearly distinguishes between alerts in a user’s current location and predefined areas of interest.
The IDF said the update was developed as part of an ongoing learning and improvement process based on operational lessons and insights gathered during the war.
