❌ IDF OFFICER SEVERELY WOUNDED IN JENIN: Earlier today, during IDF counterterrorism activity in Jenin, an explosive device detonated and wounded two Israeli troops.
According to the IDF, an officer was severely injured and a non-commissioned officer was lightly wounded. The troops had identified a suspicious object during operational activity in the city before the explosion occurred.
The IDF says it is still investigating what caused the blast. Both soldiers were evacuated to a hospital for medical treatment, and their families were notified.
️ SECURITY EXERCISE AT REIHAN CROSSING: The Crossing Authority at the Ministry of Defense will hold a security exercise today, Thursday, June 11, between 5:30 PM and 9:30 PM at the Reihan Crossing.
Sounds of gunfire and explosions are expected to be heard in the area during the exercise.
IDF ESTABLISHES ADDITIONAL HAREDI AIR FORCE TECHNICIANS UNIT: The IDF says it has established another Israeli Air Force technicians unit for male members of the ultra-Orthodox community, allowing them to maintain their religious lifestyle while serving in the military.
The new unit is based at Tel Nof Airbase within the 106th Squadron, which operates F-15 fighter jets. Twenty soldiers, including 15 Haredi servicemen, recently completed training and were certified as “level A” F-15 technicians.
The military says the first two Haredi Air Force technician units were established over the past two years at Ramat David Airbase.

⚠️ IDF RESPONDS TO CRITICISM OVER ARMORED CORPS PILOT PROGRAM: The IDF says that after approximately two and a half years of intense warfare across multiple fronts, operational demands and the burden on reserve forces have increased significantly, requiring every male and female combat soldier.
The military stressed that the High Court of Justice did not instruct the IDF to recruit female soldiers into the Armored Corps, but ordered it to conduct the planned pilot program on the issue.
According to the IDF, the pilot will be conducted under the Joint Service Ordinance while maintaining operational and professional standards. The military added that there is currently no scenario under consideration in which men and women would serve together within the same framework.
The IDF says the pilot program has not yet been presented to Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir and will be discussed in the near future.
Over recent months, senior IDF officials have held ongoing discussions with heads of Hesder Yeshivas and representatives of the Religious Zionist community regarding the matter.
The statement follows threats by leaders of more than two dozen yeshivas to stop sending students to serve in tank units over the pilot initiative.
“The IDF is the people’s army, and therefore sees paramount importance in integrating all populations into its ranks, especially in combat roles,” Zamir said at a conference.
“This complex integration will always be carried out in a manner that allows one community to serve alongside another, and not at its expense,” he added.
