⚓ HORMUZ THREATS ESCALATE: Iranian state media and hardline Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-linked reports threatened the indefinite closure of the Strait of Hormuz, declaring the new U.S.-Iran Islamabad agreement “a complete violation” of its first clause due to intense Israeli operations in southern Lebanon over the past 24 hours.
Hardliners demanded an immediate Israeli military withdrawal from Lebanon and the total lifting of the naval blockade, warning that reopening the Strait without those terms would permanently destroy Iran’s strategic leverage.
Tasnim asserted that until “Zionist control” over Lebanese soil ends, the Strait of Hormuz must remain closed to global shipping and any future Washington-Tehran negotiations should be canceled.
The outlet also said current reports of an open Strait are “unacceptable.”
Separate Revolutionary Guards statements instructed global vessels to avoid approaching the Strait of Hormuz for their own safety, warning that any vessel violating the navigation ban would be designated a legitimate target for immediate attack.
Despite the threats, it remains unclear whether an official executive directive has been signed to re-close the maritime artery, with technical implementation updates still pending.

️ NUCLEAR INSPECTIONS DENIED: Iran’s Foreign Ministry rejected reports that it had invited the International Atomic Energy Agency to inspect Iranian nuclear facilities.
“There is no truth to what is being circulated in the media about our invitation to the International Atomic Energy Agency to inspect our nuclear facilities.”
The ministry said inspections remain suspended following attacks by Israel and America and that future inspection activity is linked to the negotiation process and its outcomes.
CHIKLI WARNS ABOUT TURKEY: Israeli Diaspora Affairs Minister Amichai Chikli argued that Qatar, Pakistan, and Turkey hold significant influence over President Trump.
“Qatar, Pakistan and Turkey have very strong influence on Trump. Trump has a blind spot regarding Qatar, Pakistan and Turkey. I think he is being misled through money.”
Chikli also warned that U.S. support for Turkish President Erdogan could have long-term consequences.
“The Trump administration is giving Erdogan enormous power, and when they give Erdogan a tailwind, his aggressiveness increases. At the end of the day, in two, five, or ten years, we need to prepare not for Iran, but for Turkey.”
TRUMP RESPONDS ON IRAN TALKS: President Trump wrote on Truth Social:
“We didn’t meet out of desperation, Iran did. They are FINISHED! We’ll play out the 60 days. They get no money, not ten cents!”
⚠️ ISRAELI CONCERN OVER VANCE COMMENTS: According to Yedioth Ahronoth, Israeli officials were shocked by Vice President JD Vance’s sharp criticism of Israeli cabinet ministers and by what appeared to be a warning that U.S. military support for Israel is not unconditional.
Israeli officials largely avoided responding publicly in order to prevent further friction with President Trump.
According to the report, Israeli officials view Vance’s remarks as evidence of a growing faction within the Republican Party that is less automatically supportive of Israel, raising concerns about the future strength of U.S. backing.
❗️ IRANIAN PARLIAMENT WARNING ON IAEA ACCESS: Iranian MP Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesperson for parliament’s National Security Commission, responded to U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff’s claim that Iran was inviting IAEA inspectors to inspect nuclear facilities.
Rezaei said:
“Witkoff has claimed that Iran is inviting IAEA inspectors to inspect nuclear facilities. I hope the government denies it, but if this claim is true, IAEA inspections of nuclear facilities would be contrary to the explicit text of the law suspending cooperation with the IAEA, and the parliament will stand against this law-breaking and capitulation.”
