HAMAS WEAPONS FACILITIES DISMANTLED IN GAZA: The IDF and Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) struck three areas across Gaza yesterday, dismantling three Hamas weapons storage facilities containing weapons, explosive devices, anti-tank missiles and other military equipment.
The IDF said it would continue operating to degrade Hamas’ military capabilities and prevent the terrorist organization from rebuilding them or obtaining weapons intended to harm Israeli troops.

HAMAS REPORTS FARAH HAMED ELIMINATED IN ISRAELI STRIKE: The terrorist organization said Hamed was eliminated in Gaza City today, describing him as a “commander and fighter” in its military wing and a member of the “Military Council of the al-Qassam Brigades in the West Bank.”
Originally from the Ramallah area, Hamed belonged to the “Silwad cell,” which carried out a series of deadly shooting attacks in Judea and Samaria during the Second Intifada. He was deported to Gaza in the 2011 Gilad Shalit prisoner exchange. The cell’s leader, also released in that exchange, was eliminated in Rafah in May 2024.
Gazan media reported that Hamed was targeted in Gaza City’s Sheikh Ijlin neighborhood earlier today. The IDF has not yet issued a statement on the strike.
SOMALILAND OFFERS UP TO 2,000 TROOPS FOR PLANNED GAZA FORCE: President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi said Somaliland is awaiting a request from the U.S. or Israel before contributing soldiers to the planned International Stabilization Force for Gaza.
Uganda has approved around 1,200 troops, while Morocco has committed up to 500. Albania, Kazakhstan and Kosovo have also pledged personnel to the U.S.-led force, which is ultimately expected to deploy around 20,000 troops in Gaza.
️ ISRAEL AND CYPRUS ADVANCE EMERGENCY COOPERATION: The countries are developing a joint emergency preparedness and response work plan for 2026–2027, building on understandings between their leaderships to strengthen coordination and mutual assistance during crises.
During a two-day working visit to Cyprus, Brig. Gen. (res.) Itzik Bar, head of Israel’s National Emergency Management Authority at the Defense Ministry, met with Cyprus’s interior and defense ministers; Defense Ministry Chief of Staff and National Guard deputy commander-designate Maj. Gen. Haris Georgiou; acting Civil Defense Commander Col. Theodoros Lemoniatis; and other senior security and emergency officials.
Discussions covered professional coordination, exchanges of knowledge and operational experience, and additional mechanisms for preparing for and responding to major emergencies.
The visit included a meeting at the Cyprus Regional Aerial Firefighting Station at Paphos air force base, as part of preparations for Israel to participate in the regional coordination framework for large-scale wildfires. The broader cooperation aims to strengthen regional resilience and both countries’ ability to respond jointly and effectively to natural disasters and other emergencies.
The Israeli delegation included Bar’s military assistant and the head of the Strategic Cooperation Division, which leads professional cooperation and coordinated the visit. Israeli Ambassador Oren Anolik and Deputy Ambassador Kobi Weller also attended the meetings.
“After two days of joint work, Israel and Cyprus have significantly strengthened the foundations of their cooperation, deepening our strategic partnership and our joint preparedness for emergencies in the civilian sphere,” Bar said.
Lemoniatis described the discussions as productive, citing shared challenges and a commitment to protecting both countries’ citizens. He said Cyprus looked forward to deeper exchanges of experience, expertise and best practices, alongside new joint activities to strengthen preparedness and response capabilities.
