 GAZA WEAPONS FACILITIES AND ROCKET LAUNCH PIT DISMANTLED: The IDF and Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) said they precisely struck several areas across the Gaza Strip yesterday, dismantling three Hamas and Islamic Jihad weapons storage facilities and a launch pit from which rockets had been fired toward Israeli territory throughout the war.

The facilities contained dozens of different types of weapons, including rockets, Kalashnikov rifles and additional combat equipment. The IDF said Hamas terrorists had recently been arriving at the storage facilities and using the weapons stored there to establish control in the Gaza Strip and carry out operations.

⚖️ NETANYAHU ORDERS DEFAMATION SUIT OVER PRE-OCT. 7 WARNING CLAIMS: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he instructed his attorneys to file a defamation lawsuit against Haaretz, journalist Shlomi Eldar and additional parties over allegations that UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed warned him ahead of the October 7 attack.

Netanyahu’s statement said no conversation took place between the two leaders from the beginning of September through October 7. According to the statement, the Prime Minister’s Office, National Security Council and military secretariat reviewed Netanyahu’s call records and found no record of such a conversation. It added that diplomatic calls with the UAE president are conducted from the Prime Minister’s Office using a special encrypted device brought by a UAE representative, and that such calls are documented. Entry records were also checked and showed no UAE representative entering the Prime Minister’s Office during the relevant period.

Netanyahu also rejected Eldar’s claim that Egypt had warned him about a possible attack, describing the allegations as a politically motivated fabrication. His statement renewed criticism of then-Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar and then-IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi, arguing that they had seen warning signs in the hours before the attack but did not order preventive action or update him in time. Netanyahu claimed that had the IDF, Shin Bet and local rapid-response teams been mobilized earlier, the October 7 massacre could have been prevented.
