KHAN YOUNIS: OCTOBER 7 TERRORIST ELIMINATED: The IDF said Monday’s strike in southern Gaza eliminated Ismail Ibrahim Darwish Kandil, a Hamas military-wing Nukhba terrorist who infiltrated Israel during the October 7 massacre and took part in the killing of Nahal Brigade commander Colonel Yonatan Steinberg.
According to the IDF, Kandil had recently advanced attacks against Israeli troops and civilians and worked to restore Hamas’ capabilities, systematically violating the ceasefire. The military said the strike removed the threat he posed.
FARAH HAMED: ROLE IN DEADLY ATTACKS: Israeli security bodies confirmed that Hamed, a senior Hamas military-wing terrorist responsible for deadly attacks against Israeli civilians and soldiers, was eliminated yesterday in a strike carried out by the Israel Police’s elite Gideonim unit, Unit 33, in a joint operation with the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) and IDF.
The joint announcement described the strike location as central Gaza. Hamas separately said Hamed was killed in Gaza City’s Sheikh Ijlin neighborhood, describing him as a “commander and fighter” and a member of the “Military Council of the al-Qassam Brigades in the West Bank.”
Originally from the Ramallah area, Hamed belonged to the “Silwad cell,” which carried out deadly shooting attacks in the Binyamin area during the Second Intifada, killing and wounding Israeli civilians. He also participated in the October 2003 shooting attack in Ein Yabrud that killed Sergeant Elad Pollak, Sergeant Roi Yaakov Solomon and Staff Sergeant Erez Idan.
Hamed was apprehended and subsequently released and deported to Gaza in the 2011 Gilad Shalit prisoner exchange. The Shin Bet described him as a “senior figure” in Hamas’ “West Bank Headquarters,” which recruits operatives and directs attacks from or within Judea and Samaria. He continued recruiting and directing terrorists after his release and fought against IDF troops during the Gaza war.
BEIT LAHIA: OVERNIGHT STRIKE AND REPORTED CIVILIAN DEATHS: The IDF said an airstrike on a building near the Yellow Line eliminated Muaman Abd al-Rahman Ahmad, “a military operative who took a direct part in fighting against IDF troops.” Palestinian media reported that four members of a family, including two children, were killed in the attack.
According to the IDF, the building had previously been used by terror operatives. The military said it issued a warning “to allow civilians to evacuate the structure.”
“Only after the warning was issued was the strike carried out, while additional measures were taken to reduce the risk of harming uninvolved [civilians], including the use of precise munitions and aerial surveillance,” the military said.
❌ BEITUNIA: ARRESTS FOLLOW WEEK-LONG MANHUNT: Duvdevan commandos, operating with the Shin Bet, apprehended Ismail Ankaio and another wanted man earlier today.
“Ankaio was planning to carry out a shooting attack imminently and was arrested following a weeklong manhunt for him,” the IDF said. The military said it would continue proactive operations to thwart terrorism and bring those seeking to harm Israeli civilians to justice.
ARIEL RESIDENT FOUND ALIVE AFTER SEARCH: Yaniv Sardal was located in the Qalqilya area after voluntarily entering a Palestinian village in Samaria.
An unusual joint statement by the Shin Bet, IDF, Israel Police and Israel Prison Service said authorities had been searching for him since last night. He was found alive after hours of searching.
