❌ Weapons seized in Qalqilya; tunnel suspicions ruled out: The IDF said security forces located two shafts approximately 12 meters deep during an overnight weapons search in Qalqilya, but examinations ruled out a tunnel route within them. Forces also arrested four suspects involved in terrorist activity and located weapons, magazines and ammunition.
The operation followed intelligence indicating weapons were present in the area. IDF troops, Judea and Samaria Border Police forces and officers from the Israel Police’s Judea and Samaria District operated under the command of the Efraim Brigade. An M16 rifle, a hunting rifle, a handgun and ammunition were found near the shafts and confiscated.
The IDF said its examination also ruled out the shaft’s proximity to the seam zone, contradicting statements it described as official and irresponsible.
The four suspects are being questioned by security forces. Extensive searches are continuing to locate or rule out additional shafts and find additional weapons. The IDF said security forces would continue proactive and offensive operations to thwart terrorism throughout the Judea and Samaria Division’s area of responsibility and protect residents.
⚖️ Democrats disqualification bid rejected; Supreme Court rulings next: According to Amit Segal, the Attorney General’s representative opposed disqualifying Otzma Yehudit but warned that accumulating evidence was bringing the party closer to prohibited territory.
Otzma Yehudit refused to withdraw its own request to disqualify the Democrats, stating: “This appeasing approach toward the left is what led to the failure of the judicial reform.”
Rothman opposed that request: “I call on Otzma Yehudit to withdraw the request to disqualify the party. These are pointless proceedings. We will not participate in the vote.”
The request to disqualify the Democrats was rejected, with two votes in favor and 14 against. Coalition representatives boycotted the vote after Ben-Gvir refused their request to withdraw the bid.
The disqualification hearings have concluded. The process now moves to the Supreme Court’s rulings.
✈️ Iran reports UAE flight cancellations and Turkmenistan airspace denial: Iran’s Civil Aviation Authority said all flights operated by Iranian airlines to the UAE have been canceled since midnight, according to ISNA.
A Varesh Airlines flight from Tehran to Dushanbe, Tajikistan’s capital, was canceled and returned to Imam Khomeini International Airport. An initial account linked the disruption to denied or disrupted access to Azerbaijani airspace. Iran’s Civil Aviation Authority subsequently clarified that Turkmenistan, not Azerbaijan, had denied the flight permission to use its airspace.
