Hamas commander involved in holding hostages eliminated: The IDF said an airstrike in Gaza City on Wednesday eliminated Hassan Mahmoud Siam, a commander in Hamas’ military wing who infiltrated Israel during the October 7, 2023, massacre. During the war, he was involved in holding hostages Amit Soussana, Keith and Aviva Siegel, and Dafna Elyakim captive in Gaza.
A separate airstrike in Gaza City on Tuesday eliminated Adham Sabhi Salim Ziara, another operative in Hamas’ military wing.
According to the IDF, both terrorists had advanced attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians in recent weeks while working to restore Hamas’ capabilities and infrastructure “in systematic violation of the ceasefire agreement.”
The IDF described their involvement in shooting attacks against troops. It was also quoted as saying: “As part of these efforts, the terrorists were involved in plans to fire at our forces and in planting explosive devices in the area of the Yellow Line,” adding that they were eliminated “to remove the threat.”
⚖️ Supreme Court to hear Abu Shehadeh disqualification case: A nine-justice panel will hear the case concerning Balad chairman Sami Abu Shehadeh’s disqualification on Thursday.
In an interview with Radio Al-Nas following the disqualification, Abu Shehadeh said: “Yair Golan is a racist.” He also said: “If you’re not convinced to vote for the Joint List, vote for another party—but just not Ra’am. We must not open the door to the Zionist parties.”
️ Polls report differing bloc totals: An i24 poll gives Netanyahu’s bloc 60 seats. A News 16 poll shows a 52–52 tie between the blocs, with Winter and Yaron Zelekha clearing the electoral threshold.
The weekly poll summary lists these seat pairs: Channel 12, 54–50; Channel 13, 52–51; Channel 14, 46–63; Channel 15, 48–60; Channel 16, 52–52; and The Times of Israel, 53–53. The bloc order for these pairs was not specified.
