✈️ Stabbing and possible suicide attempt investigated on FlyDubai flight: Authorities are investigating whether one pilot stabbed the other during the FlyDubai incident, according to Israeli Channel 12. Passengers said someone stabbed one of the pilots with a pocketknife: “We saw a lot of blood.”
Flight-tracking app data indicated that the aircraft descended about 15,000 feet in one minute. Channel 14 reported that investigators were examining a possible suicide attempt by one of the pilots, who allegedly took the aircraft from 30,000 feet to 15,000 feet at approximately Mach 1 within a short period. According to the channel, the second pilot intervened and prevented further action.
The investigation includes suspicions that a pilot tried to crash the aircraft. The plane reportedly lost control for several minutes. Israeli passengers and the co-pilot helped bring the situation under control, and some passengers have bloodstained shirts after assisting.
Passengers remain inside the aircraft while awaiting a replacement plane, which is expected to be sent from Dubai to Saudi Arabia to collect them and continue to Israel.
The Prime Minister’s Office said Prime Minister Netanyahu held consultations and monitored developments following concerns about the aviation incident. It said the situation was under control and all measures were being taken to return the Israeli passengers safely to Israel.
Netanyahu’s UAE talks expanded to 10 countries: Netanyahu’s recent meeting with Emirati President Mohammed bin Zayed in Abu Dhabi began with bilateral talks before expanding to include representatives from 10 countries, according to Channel 14: the UAE, Israel, the United States, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Morocco, Libya’s Haftar government, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain.
CNN reported that Netanyahu presented Mohammed bin Zayed with new Israeli intelligence indicating that Iran is resuming progress on its nuclear program. The information included details of new construction at the Pickaxe mountain site, about 140 miles south of Tehran, viewed as a key location for possible Iranian efforts to rebuild the program.
According to CNN, a senior Saudi security official attended the expanded meeting, which also addressed the Houthis, the Bab al-Mandeb Strait and the Strait of Hormuz.

A U.S. intelligence source told i24NEWS: “The U.S. shares PM Netanyahu’s assessment that there are indications of a potential attack against Israel ahead of the upcoming elections. The assessment points to potential threats from Iran and its regional affiliates”.
The Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported: “There is an official warning of an attack on Israel, and last nights Security Cabinet meeting is not merely a routine session”.
⚠️ Iranian army spokesman threatens preemptive action: Iranian Army Spokesman Mohammad Akraminia said: “If we conclude that the enemy is about to launch an attack, we will launch a war or a preemptive operation”.
U.S.-Iran negotiations remain deadlocked: Qatari mediators continued efforts this week to broker a diplomatic breakthrough between Washington and Tehran, but negotiations remain ‘stuck’, with neither side willing to budge, Axios reported.
The deadlock centers on Tehran’s demand that the United States lift its naval blockade and Washington’s demand for nuclear concessions.
Other regional mediators, including Pakistan and Egypt, have also urged Iran to accept nuclear concessions. Iranian officials said they would consider doing so only after the United States agrees to return to the June memorandum of understanding, according to Axios.
