✈️ Flight emergency apparently linked to pilot altercation: A flydubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv landed safely at Tabuk airport in Saudi Arabia after issuing an “unlawful interference” signal and a separate general emergency signal.
According to Israeli security sources, the incident apparently stemmed from a physical altercation between the pilots. Following initial concerns about a possible hijacking, reports pointed to violence aboard the aircraft rather than a security-related incident. Further details were not immediately available.
Earlier reporting said the aircraft had not made contact since the incident began. It subsequently reappeared on flight-tracking sites near Tabuk airport, and a later report said it had contacted Saudi authorities. Before the landing, Israeli security sources said authorities would be able to establish a clearer picture once the aircraft was on the ground.
“Pilots beat each other in flight – and the entire Middle East went on emergency alert,” Israeli Channel 12’s Amit Segal said.
The airline had not confirmed whether the flight crew consisted of a Russian pilot and a Ukrainian co-pilot.

A security meeting involving the prime minister and defense minister also concluded.
⚠️ Election-related attack warnings presented to Lapid: The Prime Minister’s Office said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu concluded a security briefing with Opposition Leader Yair Lapid, attended by the prime minister’s military secretary and the intelligence officer of the Military Secretariat. Warnings of possible attacks on various fronts ahead of the elections were presented in detail.
Likud said Lapid left the meeting at 11:39 p.m. and published what it described as a lengthy statement consisting entirely of a political attack on Netanyahu at 11:41 p.m., two minutes later. The party argued that the speed of publication suggested the statement had been prepared in advance, regardless of the briefing he received.
