❌ Counterterrorism operations in Judea and Samaria: The IDF said soldiers conducted counterterrorism operations during Sukkot and the holiday’s intermediate days. Forces arrested wanted individuals, questioned suspects and confiscated weapons and equipment used for terrorism, including materials for manufacturing explosive devices.
Nighttime arrest operations in Balata and the casbah in Shechem resulted in the arrest of six terrorists, including a Hamas operative. The division’s broader counterterrorism effort resulted in approximately 50 terrorist arrests, including a terrorist cell. Troops also struck a terrorist who attempted to throw an explosive device at them and confiscated substantial combat equipment, including several drones.
Alongside these operations, IDF forces provided security for hundreds of thousands of visitors at recreational sites throughout Judea and Samaria during the holiday’s intermediate days.
⚠️ President urges action against nationalist-motivated crime: During a visit to the Judea and Samaria Division, the president urged the political leadership: “This cannot continue—give them all the tools needed to put an end to nationalist-motivated crime.”
Hamas sniper eliminated in Khan Yunis: The IDF and Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) eliminated Tamer Hamaida, a Hamas sniper who planned to carry out terror attacks against IDF troops, in an aerial strike in the Khan Yunis area yesterday.
According to the IDF and Shin Bet, Hamaida advanced terror and sniper attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians throughout the war and worked to restore Hamas’s capabilities, systematically violating the ceasefire.
In the hunt for October 7 terrorists, Israeli forces also eliminated at least 17 terrorists this month who were involved in the massacre and holding hostages captive.
️ Year without rockets or missiles from Gaza: More than a year has passed since the last rocket fired from the Gaza Strip crossed into Israeli territory. The full year without rockets or missiles from Gaza is the first this century.
⚖️ Gaza Division officer identified and new outposts reported: Nearly three years after October 7, the Supreme Court has permitted publication of the name of the Gaza Division’s intelligence officer at the time: Lt. Col. Aryeh Amidror.
The Gaza Division commander said: “We have established nearly 40 new outposts.”
Trump on warning reports and elections: Trump said he does not believe reports that Netanyahu received warnings from the UAE and Egypt before October 7.
He is not taking a position on the elections. Regarding future cooperation with Eisenkot, he said: “I haven’t heard anything bad about him.”
Netanyahu on the stabbing investigation: Netanyahu said authorities are investigating whether the pilot who carried out the stabbing was sent by someone. He warned that whoever sent him would pay a very heavy price.
