Katz orders pursuit of all October 7 attackers: Defense Minister Israel Katz cited figures presented by Military Intelligence Directorate chief Maj. Gen. Shlomi Binder at last night’s cabinet meeting, saying:
“6,000 terrorists crossed the border into Israel on Simchat Torah and carried out the atrocities. Of those, 4,000 have been eliminated so far, and another 2,000 remain. The directive from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and me to the IDF and all security agencies is sharp and clear: beyond the paramount objective of dismantling Hamas and demilitarizing Gaza, pursue and eliminate them all, without restriction and under all circumstances, from the most senior to the most junior. This is the command of those who were murdered and those who fell, and it is our duty as a people and as a state—and we will fulfill it.”
Katz was also quoted as saying, “6,000 terrorists crossed the border into Israel on October 7 and carried out the atrocities. Of them, 4,000 have been killed so far, leaving another 2,000,” and instructing the military and all other security bodies to eliminate everyone who participated in the attack “without limitation and under any circumstances, from the senior ranks to the junior ranks.”
Previous IDF assessments put the number of terrorists who invaded Israel on October 7, 2023, at around 5,600, including between 1,200 and 1,600 killed in Israeli territory. Thousands returned to Gaza, and many were subsequently killed during fighting or eliminated after being targeted by Israel.
A unit of the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) known as Nili leads efforts to track down and eliminate everyone who participated in the Hamas-led attack. The IDF and Shin Bet have intensified those efforts in recent months.
Israeli forces today eliminated two Hamas terrorists who participated in the October 7 massacre, including a Nukhba commander.

️ Strock and Zini clash in cabinet: At last night’s cabinet meeting, Minister Orit Strock raised Palestinian attacks on shepherds and challenged Shin Bet chief Zini’s portrayal of settlers. The reported exchange was:
Minister Strock: Palestinians attack shepherds, injure them, and endanger their lives. You portray the Arabs as if they’re all sweetness and light, and only the settlers are the problem. Bring these attacks to light as well, deal with them, and talk about them.
Zini: The Palestinians aren’t burning down Jewish homes here. You’re out of touch. We need to see condemnations and denunciations from the entire leadership. This harms the settlement movement and harms security.
Strock: I condemn it all the time.
Zini: Where have you condemned it?
Strock: On Reshet Bet, on Army Radio, everywhere. Just listen.
UK reportedly weighs expelling Israeli diplomats: The UK is considering expelling 27 Israeli diplomats if Sa’ar does not reverse the closure of the British consulate in East Jerusalem, according to Itamar Eichner.

Troops initiated a suspect-apprehension procedure, including live fire toward the motorcycle, and detained both suspects. The IDF did not detail their conditions. No IDF injuries were reported.
The incident came less than a day after a suspect was shot dead while trying to breach an IDF post in southern Syria.
