✈️ Report details Flydubai co-pilot’s earlier attack plan: The Wall Street Journal reported that Flydubai co-pilot Hamam al-Hammami, who attempted to crash Flight 1073 near Tel Aviv the week before its report, told investigators he had planned a similar attack in July but abandoned it because he cared about a crew member.
According to the report, the Omani national sought employment with airlines flying to Israel and planned to incapacitate the captain before crashing the aircraft into a target such as Ben Gurion Airport.
Oman Air had previously barred Hammami from flying over “extremist concerns,” but Flydubai hired him without checking with Omani authorities, The Wall Street Journal reported.
️ Hendel’s coalition position and electoral assessment: Hendel urged Winter to reverse his support for a government with Netanyahu and the ultra-Orthodox parties and support only a “Zionist government without ultra-Orthodox parties or Arab parties.” Hendel also said he would not serve under Netanyahu.

According to the report, he had already worked as a pharmacy assistant at a pharmacy and frequently consumed Hamas and ISIS content.
