⚠️ Trump warns the Houthis and raises possible Turkish involvement: President Trump accused the Houthis of attacking Saudi Arabia and trying to raise oil prices, suggesting possible Iranian involvement:
“The Houthis are behaving very badly. I thought they learned their lesson a year ago when we bombed the hell out of them and, at their request, stopped. They’ve been silent for a long time, but now they’ve emerged again, probably at the behest of Iran, which is a failing nation, with no Navy, no Air Force, the world’s worst economy, and 301% inflation, in a very nasty way, hitting Saudi Arabia, and purposefully trying to drive up oil prices, probably prior to the U.S. elections — not nice. Somebody should explain to them that I’m not running in the elections, I’ve already won, in a massive landslide, but I’ll be there after the elections, and I will never forget!”
A reporter asked: “Are you asking Turkey to join the response with Yemen?” Trump replied: “I might do it. President Erdogan is a great friend of mine. I have a lot of respect for President Erdogan”.
Iran strike discussions and disputed election timing: Axios reported that Netanyahu discussed resuming strikes on Iran with President Trump last week and wanted to renew the attacks before the elections.
A U.S. official told Axios: “Bibi seems to want to go in again. He has talked to the president about it a couple times, and the president has said, ‘Well, you know, Bibi, go ahead and get ready’. But there’s really no commitment. ‘Go ahead and get ready’ is maybe now, maybe later, maybe never”.
Netanyahu’s office said, according to Channel 12: “The PM is not pushing Trump to attack Iran before the elections and is engaged in dialogue with him and his officials”. Lieberman warned that Netanyahu would launch a war before the elections for political reasons.
Axios identified U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and CENTCOM leaders as the strongest supporters of renewed strikes on Iran. A U.S. official described the negotiations: “The negotiations are not really dead, but they’re not really alive. We’re just here, piling on the pressure and there’s a belief that smarter heads will prevail over there”.
Netanyahu outlines military control and Palestinian Authority contingency: Prime Minister Netanyahu said: “There will be no Arab army west of the Jordan River. Here, there will be the IDF”.
He also said: “We are preparing for a scenario in which Palestinian Authority forces turn their guns against Israel in the West Bank”.
Netanyahu addresses Egyptian intelligence minister’s visit: In a Channel 14 interview, Netanyahu confirmed that Egypt’s intelligence minister visited Israel before October 7, but said: “He did not meet with me – I demand to know who he did meet with.”
⚠️ Katz warns of attempts to influence Israel’s elections: Defense Minister Israel Katz said: “We are detecting attempts by our enemies, led by Iran and its proxies, to carry out terrorist attacks aimed at influencing the outcome of the elections in Israel. Let our enemies know: Anyone who attacks us, whether before or after the elections, will have their hand cut off and will pay the heaviest price.”
