Suspected ramming near Ateret: The IDF said troops were dispatched following a report of a car-ramming incident near the Ateret settlement in the Binyamin region of Judea and Samaria. Initial reports described a suspected terrorist attack and said at least one person was mildly injured.
The driver reportedly fled, and troops were searching for him. The military said further details remain under review.
❌ Weapons trader apprehended near Jenin: IDF soldiers, guided by the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), apprehended a terrorist affiliated with the Jenin terror network during a special operation in the Jenin area this morning, the military said.
According to the IDF, he was a key weapons trader who acquired and transferred weapons to the network. The military said the network was dismantled during Operation “Iron Wall,” which targeted terrorist networks in northern Samaria.
IDF reports elimination of Gaza weapons smugglers: The IDF said it and the Shin Bet eliminated Basel Nabil Abd al-Rahman Kashta and Ahmad Raja al-Shaer in an Israeli airstrike in Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip, yesterday. The military identified them as terrorists “who were involved in smuggling weapons and additional military equipment into the Gaza Strip.”
According to the military, they were responsible for procuring and trading weapons and advancing weapons smuggling into Gaza. It said the strike was carried out “to remove a threat” and that the pair posed an immediate threat to Israeli civilians and IDF troops operating in the Yellow Line area.
The military said security forces continue working to degrade Hamas’ military buildup and financing capabilities to prevent the terrorist organization from restoring its infrastructure and military capabilities.
IDF releases letter attributed to Sinwar’s son: Marking two years since Yahya Sinwar’s elimination, the IDF released a letter it says his son Ibrahim wrote at the start of the war, when he was 10. According to the military, IDF soldiers recovered the letter in the Gaza Strip in 2024.
In the IDF’s published translation, Ibrahim writes: “I want to hug you and see you victorious, and I want to proclaim ‘Allah is the greatest,’ hold a Kalashnikov, and shoot Jews.”
He describes making pistols, tanks and Kalashnikovs from paper and cardboard. The letter also expresses longing for his father, a wish for the war to end and prayers for his father’s safety, alongside a request that his father pray for him.
The drawings, attributed to Ibrahim, depict weapons, tanks near the Gaza-Israel border fence and missiles being launched toward Israel. The IDF said the letter and drawings reflect Sinwar’s ideology in his children’s upbringing and illustrate the impact of Hamas’ values of hatred and violence on the younger generation in Gaza.
