️ 99th Division completes four-month operation in northern Gaza: Over four months of operations east of the Yellow Line in northern Gaza, troops of the IDF’s 99th Division eliminated more than 100 terrorists, neutralized approximately eight kilometers of underground tunnels, and dismantled terrorist infrastructure above and below ground.
The operation focused on preventing Hamas from rebuilding its capabilities. Troops dismantled numerous terrorist facilities, including an observation command center and structures used by terrorists to prepare and plan attacks against IDF forces.
According to the military, those eliminated included terrorists who infiltrated Israel during the October 7 massacre, terrorists involved in holding hostages captive, and operatives attempting to plant explosive devices targeting IDF troops.
The 162nd Division will continue operations in the area following the completion of the 99th Division’s mission.
The IDF also released footage showing engineering troops working to locate underground tunnel routes in northern Gaza.
️ Additional 1.5-kilometer Hamas tunnel dismantled near the Yellow Line: IDF engineering troops, working alongside the Yahalom Unit, sealed and dismantled an underground tunnel route approximately 1.5 kilometers long that crossed the Yellow Line area in the Gaza Strip.
The tunnel contained rooms intended for use by Hamas terrorists.
The operation forms part of continuing efforts by the Southern Brigade, led by the Gaza Division’s Engineering Unit and Southern Command, to clear terrorist infrastructure from the Yellow Line area in southern Gaza.
Additional military footage shows the interior of an underground tunnel and its dismantling in central Gaza.
Hamas commander involved in holding hostages eliminated in Gaza City: The IDF announced that an aerial strike in the Gaza City area on October 14 eliminated Mumen Ahmad Salameh al-Ay, a commander in Hamas’ military wing who participated in holding hostages captive during the war.
According to the military, al-Ay served as an aide to senior commanders in Hamas’ Gaza Brigade and was involved in holding hostages in the Gaza City area. The IDF did not identify the captives.
More recently, al-Ay was advancing attacks against Israeli troops and civilians while attempting to restore Hamas’ military capabilities, according to the IDF.
The military described these activities as occurring “in systematic violation of the ceasefire.”
The IDF said the aerial strike was carried out to remove the threat posed by the commander.
裡 Hezbollah explosive device and military position discovered in southern Lebanon: IDF troops from the 810th Brigade completed an operation over the past week to locate Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure and weapons on the outskirts of Kfar Shouba in southern Lebanon.
During the operation, soldiers discovered a ready-to-detonate explosive device, a Hezbollah position, and additional weapons used by the terrorist organization.
The explosive device was confiscated by IDF troops following its discovery.
