️ Tatika poll’s seat projections: A Zman Yisrael/Yossi Tatika poll conducted October 14–15 gives Gadi Eisenkot’s Yashar 26 seats, its strongest recent result in that series. Likud receives 20; Naftali Bennett 11; Yisrael Beiteinu 9; Shas, United Torah Judaism, the Democrats and the Joint List 8 each; Otzma Yehudit 7; Religious Zionism-Zehut 6; Ra’am 5; and Hendel-Zelekha 4.
At the 3.25% electoral threshold, Ofer Winter falls from four seats last week to 2.8%, while Hendel-Zelekha rise from 3.2%, below threshold, to four seats. Religious Zionism-Zehut strengthens from five to six seats.
Netanyahu’s bloc receives 49 seats, the core non-Arab opposition 54 and the Arab parties 13, with Hendel-Zelekha’s four counted separately. Although Netanyahu’s established coalition parties strengthen compared with last week, Winter’s fall below threshold reduces his wider potential bloc from 51 to 49.
Eisenkot’s two-seat gain does not represent an expansion of the opposition camp. Bennett falls from 13 to 11 and Yisrael Beiteinu from 10 to 9, leaving the core non-Arab opposition down one seat overall. Likud remains unchanged at 20, widening Eisenkot’s lead over it to six seats and Likud’s lead over Bennett to nine.
The result restores a mathematical opposition route to a majority: 54 core opposition seats, Hendel-Zelekha’s four and Ra’am’s five would total 63. This is parliamentary arithmetic, not an agreed coalition arrangement. Netanyahu’s 49-seat bloc remains 12 short of the 61-seat majority.
Pollster differences and threshold risks: A weekly comparison lists opposition–Netanyahu bloc totals of 52–50 for Channel 11, 54–49 for Channel 12, 50–51 for Channel 13, 46–62 for Channel 14, 50–57 for Channel 15 and 50–52 for Channel 16. It substitutes Dudi Hasid’s newer Israel Hayom poll for his Channel 11 survey and notes a similar substitution for Channel 14.
The broader polling picture remains sharply divided. Recent mainstream surveys have generally placed Netanyahu’s bloc in the high 40s to mid-50s, while i24NEWS/Direct Polls has shown substantially stronger results and Channel 14 most recently gave him 62. Eisenkot has ranged from roughly 20 to 26 seats. These wide gaps do not establish short-term voter movement: the surveys come from different pollsters using substantially different models.
Winter’s threshold survival remains a recurring concern: several recent polls place him below 3.25%, while others give him four seats. Hendel-Zelekha are similarly volatile, while Religious Zionism-Zehut has cleared the threshold more consistently. With the election approaching, which small lists survive may matter more for either bloc’s path to 61 than which party finishes first.
U.S. ambassador rejects unity-government report: The U.S. ambassador to Israel denied a report claiming the Trump administration is pushing for a unity government led by Netanyahu and Eisenkot.
Golan on religion in public life: Yair Golan said: “We will remove religion from the public sphere in Israel.”
Preliminary findings on Ateret vehicle incident: A preliminary army investigation found that an Israeli civilian near Ateret was disrupting traffic by attempting to block Palestinian motorists. According to the findings, a Palestinian driver struck and injured the civilian while trying to flee.
The injured settler was taken to hospital, with his condition reported as light to moderate. The IDF described his injuries as light and confirmed that he was evacuated for medical treatment.
The IDF said soldiers and Judea and Samaria District Police officers were dispatched following a report of a vehicle ramming against an Israeli civilian. Soldiers launched a pursuit of the driver and were establishing roadblocks. The military assesses that the incident was not a terrorist attack.
