️ *IDF READINESS AND APACHE PROCUREMENT*

 Israel signs Apache procurement agreement: Israel’s Defense Ministry and the U.S. Pentagon signed a deal for 12 Boeing AH-64E Apache attack helicopters for the Israeli Air Force after the government approved a ₪1 billion transfer to the ministry this morning. Deliveries will begin in the early 2030s. The ministry described the “Echo” variant as the helicopter’s newest and most advanced model.

Defense Ministry Director General Maj. Gen. (res.) Amir Baram instructed the ministry’s U.S. delegation to sign following government approval. The agreement followed several postponements requested by the ministry and granted by the U.S. administration because of Israel’s budgetary situation.

The delegation and the ministry’s Budget Division developed the agreement and its funding framework, with joint Israeli-American efforts tailoring the procurement to Israel’s needs and budget constraints. The ministry expressed deep appreciation for the U.S. administration’s unwavering support for Israel’s security needs and repeated flexibility, saying the postponements enabled Israel to bridge budget gaps and proceed with strengthening its military capabilities.

Katz called the procurement a “critical step in the IDF’s force buildup, one that will strengthen its operational capabilities against a wide range of threats and contribute to the security of the State of Israel in the years to come.”

️ Home front emergency and IDF readiness: The state of emergency on the home front will be extended until November 3, after the elections. IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir warned that increased alerts across all fronts and the sensitivity of the current period have raised the potential for escalation.

Zamir said forces have been reinforced across all areas, including the deployment of the 98th Division to Judea and Samaria to strengthen security, stability and operational control. “We have reinforced our troops and raised our level of readiness, and we continue preparing for scenarios in which attempts may be made to catch us by surprise.”

During a situational assessment and operational briefing at Central Command today, Zamir met Central Command commander Maj. Gen. Avi Bluth, Judea and Samaria Division commander Brig. Gen. Kobi Heller, 98th Division commander Brig. Gen. Meni Liberty, 96th Division commander Brig. Gen. Oren Simcha, brigade and battalion commanders, and commanders from the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) and Israel Border Police in Judea and Samaria.

The visit included a field tour of the Judea Brigade area and a review of operational challenges and divisional missions. Zamir approved plans for continued operations, emphasizing thwarting terrorism and maintaining stability. He stressed vigilance on every front, preserving freedom of operation and swiftly thwarting threats, saying the IDF pursues terrorism wherever it exists and maintains high readiness for extensive offensive operations against anyone attempting to harm Israeli civilians.

“Attacks and violence against innocent people do not reflect Israeli or Jewish values. Such acts must be condemned and eradicated using all means available to the State of Israel,” Zamir said. During the current olive harvest season, he said the IDF would enable the harvest while maintaining public order and protecting all populations in the area.

Marking one year since Operation “Returning Home,” Zamir said returning the hostages, living and deceased, had guided the IDF throughout the war. He credited the 98th Division with a significant role in those operations, acting with determination and dedication until the last hostage returned. He praised the dedication, professionalism and wartime accomplishments of the 98th, 96th and Judea and Samaria divisions, expressing confidence in their continued performance.
