殺 Military leaders reportedly oppose immediate Iran strike: At Prime Minister Netanyahu’s request, Israeli officials recently discussed preparations for a potential strike on Iran, i24 News reported. Military leaders warned that visible preparations could convince Tehran an attack was imminent and prompt it to strike first.
According to the report, IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir and senior commanders support military action against Iran but oppose carrying it out now, just before the elections.
Opposition candidate Gadi Eisenkot said: “Making regime change an objective of war is not the right thing to do. Destroying the Iranian nuclear program, the missile program, and the proxies — that is the right thing to do. And I know how to do that”.
殺 Hezbollah rebuilds with Iranian funding: Hezbollah has spent the past three months preparing for a possible new war with Israel, using tens of millions of dollars from Iran to rebuild its military capabilities, Reuters reported, citing Lebanese security sources.
The group is focusing on explosives and attack drones while restoring command structures damaged in previous battles. Its weapons stockpiles and fighting forces remain below pre-war levels. Hezbollah is also on alert for a possible U.S.-Iran escalation that could reignite fighting in Lebanon.
Explosion near Saraqib: A large explosion struck what appears to be a weapons depot or warehouse near Saraqib in Syria’s eastern Idlib Province.
Since September, a series of explosions has occurred at ammunition depots and sites holding leftover munitions across Syria, including some belonging to the Defense Ministry.
IDF reports four terrorists eliminated in Gaza: The IDF announced that aerial strikes across northern, southern and central Gaza on Saturday and Sunday eliminated four Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists.
Sunday’s strikes eliminated Islamic Jihad military-wing operatives Alaa Abu Zaid and Hamdan Suleiman Ibrahim Abu Amra, along with Hamas military-wing sniper operative Fawzi Salam Odat Allah Sawarha, who the IDF said had advanced sniper attacks against its troops.
A separate strike in northern Gaza on Saturday eliminated Muhammad Anan Muhammad al-Rawaj, whom the military identified as a Hamas Nukhba cell commander.
According to the IDF, the four had advanced attacks against Israeli troops and civilians throughout the war, particularly recently, and worked to restore their organizations’ military capabilities “in systematic violation of the ceasefire.” The military said the strikes were carried out to remove the threats they posed.
In a separate incident on Sunday, the IDF said it identified a military structure in northern Gaza being used as a sniper position targeting its troops, then struck and destroyed it to remove the threat.
