️ *COALITION TALKS AND SHIN BET CHIEF’S WARNING ON FOREIGN ELECTION MONEY*

️ Joint List and Beyachad signal support for Eisenkot: Sami Abu Shehadeh told Kan Bet that the Joint List would recommend Eisenkot. When Herzog asked how the faction would act during a major military conflict, the Joint List chairman replied that voters had elected the faction to bring down Netanyahu and that returning him to power would defeat that purpose.

Amit Segal noted that Tibi did not directly answer Herzog’s question about whether Arab society had undergone Israelization since October 7. Segal pointed to the Joint List’s platform, which explicitly opposes the Israelization of Israel’s Arab citizens.

Beyachad faction chairman Eitan Ginzburg said, “We are determined to help Eisenkot form a government as quickly as possible.” Merav Cohen ruled out support for what she called a draft evasion law. Ram Ben-Barak said, “Unity is, of course, something highly desirable, but it can only be achieved with people who share the same values.”

 Segal reports competing paths to a government: Amit Segal said Abbas’s remark about a “snap government” had found a receptive audience. Segal asked whether the Change Bloc planned to present the basic guidelines of a minority government on Tuesday and hold a vote roughly 24 hours later. The calculation, he suggested, was that Bennett and Lieberman would find it difficult to vote against the government if doing so kept Netanyahu in power.

Segal said Lieberman had reiterated his firm opposition to such a government over the previous 24 hours, while Bennett had remained silent since the elections. The idea also faced opposition within Yashar!.

Segal separately reported that Lieberman had lifted his veto on the ultra-Orthodox parties and that the Change Bloc was pursuing a government that would include United Torah Judaism and be based on a lenient military conscription law. Hendel responded to the coalition reporting, “Shame on you.”

Segal reported that Porush and Stark had initially been instructed by their respective Hasidic rebbes to recommend Netanyahu. The decision was reversed after Rabbi Landau spoke with the rebbes on Wednesday. Porush stayed away from the President’s Residence in protest, and the Change Bloc saw him as the hardest figure to win over in its effort to form a government.

Shas responded, “In light of Netanyahu’s promise to advance legislation that will protect Torah scholars, we are staying with Netanyahu.” Segal reported that the Change Bloc expected Shas to yield to pressure from Rabbi Landau.

Hanania Ben Shimon, a former partner of Beyachad’s Yonatan Shalev in the organization “Shoulder to Shoulder,” responded to the reported coalition plan, “If these reports are true, this is a betrayal of the alliance of those who serve by the Change Bloc. We did not fight with all our might against the draft-dodging law just to end up with a draft-dodging law on steroids.”

️ Deri says his movement came under attack during the war: Deri said, “I’ve been involved in these political systems for decades, and I’ve never seen anything like this. During wartime, they took advantage of the restraint and responsibility we demonstrated to attack our movement and its leaders. They even tried to divide our spiritual leadership.

Experts told me they couldn’t believe it was possible to survive such a campaign. It’s truly a miracle, and for that we must thank the Almighty.”

️ Shin Bet chief warns about foreign money influencing elections: Yaron Avraham reported that the head of the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) told a closed agency conference, “Foreign money influencing elections is equivalent to the failure surrounding the October 7 massacre. It is the greatest strategic attack in the history of the State of Israel.”
